My favorite Christmas memory was from when I was a kid and when we used to do the whole Christmas tree and decorating it. I really do miss the Christmas tree, the lights and bring out all the ornaments. I haven't had that in years. Now that I'm in grad school and soon will be part of working America, I just appreciate all the moments I get to spend with family. Hopefully one day we'll get to do the Christmas tree again.
ReplyDeleteMy favorate chrismas memory is from when i was a little kid and me and my siblings would wake up my mom and dad really early in the morning and run aroud all happy and jumpy.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite christmas memory is when I was younger I remember it was christmas eve and we were at my aunts house and all of a sudden we heard a noise coming from the roof and all of a sudden the door bell rang and it was santa it was the coolest and such a great night I will never forget it
ReplyDeleteMy favorite would always be Christmas at our hose in the Philippines. Mom would cook up a storm, and our house is filled with guests from all over! Relatives and co-workers, all times of the day till the wee hours of the morning! Music, and laughter surrounded our home! I miss it so much!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite christmas memory is when i was little my grandparents would visit us for christmas from california and would bring lots of presents so...my grandma would have us put a christmas bow on each and every gift since she didn't want them squished from being in the box on the way over to our house. She loved her pretty bows!
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite and still favorite is all of the family coming to our house on Christmas eve. Eating tamales and chili- Then afterwards playing trashy white Christmas. Where you take something that you already have that you don't want and wrap it to get rid of it. It's hysterical.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory is going to my aunts house every year on Christmas eve. Our whole family rarely got together but we always went to this. I would chase around my older cousins when I was younger as the parents sat around chatting.
ReplyDeleteSo every year we go to our back yard, our entire family, and we just look at up the stars, i just feel so relaxed, it is amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory was when we were in our old house. My grandparents came over and stayed Christmas Eve Night and then my brother and I would always wake everyone up early to get presents. I loved when the whole family came together like that, <3
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite Christmas Memory was sleeping by the Christmas tree so that I could hold onto the magic as long as possible that night.
ReplyDeleteBailey H. My favorite Christmas memory is waking up as a kid on Christmas morning and having Santa come and hand out presents to us at my grandmas! We'd always leave out cookies and milk and carrots for his reindeer and the carrots would be chewed and the cookies gone! I love Christmas!!!!!!! :D <3
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memories would either be decorating sugar cookies with colored icings with my mom (hers were perfect; mine looked like disfigured monsters) and making homemade Christmas ornaments out of salt dough and tinsel out of foil (we were extremely poor, but I guess I still cherish those memories regardless).
ReplyDeleteMy Favorite Christmas memories was when my parents filled the living room up with Barbies! They were everywhere, in the curtains, the doors, they couch and cushion, and they were in the entertainment center.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory was from my childhood. I was very fortunate to live in the house that all my family members would congregate to for the holidays. Nothing means more to me than being around your loved ones during the holidays. From this time my absolute favorite thing about it was my Aunt would host a dance contest and ever participant got a monetary reward. It made Christmas just a little bit more fun and well comparative :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE decorating the Christmas tree with my whole family then later on we would go sit down at the table then play a bunch of games! :)
ReplyDeleteMy best christmas memory was when my babygirl first decorated her christmas tree. She was really excited.
ReplyDeletehaving christmas with ALL of my family like grandma, cousins, aunts, uncles. I loved being with everyone. it was always extremely loud there was music playing and i was throwing tree branch scraps in the fireplace to hear them sizzle.
ReplyDeleteMy best memory is receiving a homemade wooden shop made byy grandad. My girls have it now.
ReplyDeletedecorating the tree together
ReplyDeleteFavorite memory is giving away the money I got for a laptop to someone who needed it for bills.
ReplyDeleteOh goodness. Favorite memory? There are so many! Let's see.... I'd have to go with a couple years ago. My whole family got together and we just hung out. It was great to just see everyone getting along and having a great time:)

ReplyDeleteMine was getting married during the holidays!
ReplyDeleteI am new to tumblr, so I don't know if I'm doing this right. My favorite Christmas memory is seeing my little brother wear his Santa hat each year to hand out the family presents to each other. He never missed a Christmas until his last one in 2008. He was just too sick. He died less than 2 months later. He had brain cancer. As sad as this story is, it is still a great memory for the many Christmas' that he was here.
ReplyDeleteI love watching my husband read Christmas stories to my kids.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite christmas was my last christmas in the USA. That year all the family friends got into this fight and started not treating the kids of the feuding friends as well as they used to. So it was just me, my mom and my dad for the night and surprisingly it was also the best. I regret that not happening years earlier.
ReplyDeleteAwesome christmas giveaway! Good luck to all who entered and have a merry christmas
ReplyDeleteMaking hot chocolate and eating cookies while driving thru the neighborhoods looking at Christmas lights.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory: my parents did a scavenger hunt for my sister and I when we were little, and we went around our house with clues to find where our presents were At the end we went to our basement to find a trampoline. This became a tradition in our family and now we all do it for each other.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite christmas memory is my grandpa making his special "Hosmer Chicken Noodle Soup", it is a special tradition that I love!
ReplyDeleteHaving all of the family gather together. There are a lot of us, so good fun.
ReplyDeleteIn the first prize, what is that picture with the girl with the long red hair holding a cross behind her back? Is that a book, because I would love to know the title.
ReplyDeleteFavorite Christmas memory is when all my cousins and I would gather around and perform different talents. So, I would recite some poems I had written and my other cousin would sing a song and so on and so forth. It was always a lot of fun to see what my cousins could create!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Holiday memory is Making my Grandma's famous recipe of Sauerkraut and Pork chops, it's out of this world! #YUM When my Grandma went to Heaven she left only me the recipe so I honor her every Holiday by making it for my Family.<3
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas memory was a tradition! Each person on my dad's side of the family (there are so many people!) would receive a container of silly string, and after everyone opened the gift we would have an all out silly string war! It was so messy but it was so worth it!
ReplyDeleteMine is setting up the Christmas tree as a family.
ReplyDeleteThis kids would always take turns reading The Night Before Christmas before opening presents at my grandma's house.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas was the first year after my grandmother moved in, we made so much candy and food, and it was all delicious. I also went way overboard on the wrapping paper, I put like three layers on most of the presents that I wrapped. My family's reaction was so funny.
ReplyDeletegreat contest.
ReplyDeleteMine would be my first Christmas as a wife and mother, it's one i will never forget, Thank you for the wonderful chance, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!
ReplyDeleteA favorite Christmas would probably be when I was about 7-8 yrs old, before my two youngest siblings were born. My parents, brother, and myself went down to Tennessee to visit my grandparents and aunt for the majority of Winter Break. It was the first time I got to go to an aquarium and the first time I was able to give something I got with the money I earned working and doing chores :-)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Christmas was when the whole family went up to our cabin, it had snowed and we were outside being flung around on the inter-tube tied to the back of the four wheeler, great food, yummy cookies, and wonderful time with the family
ReplyDeleteDecorating the tree with my parents and listening to Elvis Christmas. That used to be my favorite memories. Now its baking and decorating with my daughter who is 6 this year.
ReplyDeleteThere was so much drama growing up in my family. Heck, I could even write a book about it. Haha! We didn't have much money, but my mom (who passed away from cancer in 2000) always figured out a way for us to have every Christmas special. We got just enough presents, and she always cooked lots of food for our family and friends that visited. Those were the days....
ReplyDeleteActually it would be the one that just passed. On Saturday, December 20th, I was working on the last of my Christmas baking, & waiting on my husband to get home w/his father, who was spending the holidays w/us, or so I thought. I heard the front door open, & someone asking "Where's Mom?" It took a second to register that my youngest son & my 6yr old granddaugther were actually in my living room. My husband had driven up to get them as a Christmas Surprise for me. They live 8 hours away from us, (yes he drove 8 hours up, & 8 hours back) so I don't see much of them at all,. Usually once a year, & never on Christmas. It was so much fun to get to play Santa Claus, & such a BLESSING to experience all the wonders of Christmas through the eyes of my granddaughter. We got to take her to Christmas Eve service at out church, where she got to see the Live Nativity at the back of the Sanctuary, & I got to sit & read the Nativity Story to her at bedtime, picking out cookies for Santa, & deciding whether to leave Hot Cocoa, or milk for him. waking up on Christmas morning to the excited voince of our precious little angel as she discovered that Santa had indeed visited our house & left gifts. (she was worried that he would miss her because she wasn't at home).....Yup.......BEST!! CHRISTMAS!!! EVER!!!!
