Shelly is a NEW YORK TIMES & USA TODAY bestselling author from a small town in Georgia and loves everything about the south. She is wife to a fantastical husband and stay-at-home mom to two boisterous and mischievous boys who keep her on her toes. She hoards paperbacks, devours sweet tea, searches year-round for candy corn, and loves to spend time with her family and friends, go out to eat at new restaurants, sight-see in the new areas they travel to, listen to music, and, of course, loves to read, but doesn't have much time to these days with all the characters filling her head, begging to come out.
Her own books happen by accident and she revels in the writing and imagination process. She doesn't go anywhere without her notepad for fear of an idea creeping up and not being able to write it down immediately, even in the middle of the night, where her best ideas are born.
Shelly Crane รจ nata in un paesino della Georgia, dove vive con il marito e due figli. Lettrice compulsiva, ha cominciato a scrivere da qualche anno diventando in breve autrice bestseller del New York Times e dell’USA Today
And no, I don't speak Spanish. I slid by, barely passing my Spanish class with a 71, and how I made that 71 is beyond me! I retained maybe seven words in total of it, too. Pretty sad.
So I'll tell you a few random things about myself here.
- I hate MATH. Like loathe it in my soul...
- I dislike watching scary movies. Can't Do. It. Used to love it, but since I've had kids -- just no.
- I can't even with roller coasters. And if it hangs upside down, your feet dangle, or we go backwards? NO. Same thing, I used to LOVE roller coasters, but then I had kids and something in my brain changed and now I'm so scared of them.
- My favorite quote is: A person often meets his destiny on the road he took to avoid it. – Jean De La Fontaine
- I'm addicted to Kitchen Nightmares.
- I love to watch old musicals. My grandmother was a librarian and we used to watch these at her house in the summer. Carousel, Brigadoon, Oklahoma, Singing in the Rain, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, Music Man. LOVE them!
- I hate mint and chocolate together. *Shivers in disgust*

- I am a music freak. I'm listening to something every minute of every day, especially while writing.
- Reba McEntire.(Yeah, that one) sang in my back yard when her bus broke down when I was a baby. She said I was cute. (true story!)
- I had a NKOTB bedspread when I was 7.
- If my house were on fire, what 3 things would I grab? Laptop with work in progress on it, box of my sons' baby books and keepsakes, and my phone (with Kindle app) of course ;)

Are you a Christian? I am an adult baptized (Hold them down till they bubble) born again Christian and I love your books. I also love the Afters! Which you’ve mentioned in one of your books. Your books remind me of my relationship with Jesus and what is yet to come. Thanks for writing them!
