Interview & Giveaway with debut author Heather White

16 year old Karlie has had a pretty normal life... But when her Mom dies she is force to move over 1,000 miles away to live with her Dad. That's when things start getting weird. 

She can't explain the earthquakes that nobody else feels, or why she no longer sleeps. But most of all she doesn't know why she trusts Shane so much, even though his Dad wants her dead. 

Suddenly, Karlie's normal life is turned upside down and she enters a world she never dreamed could really exist.

1. How did you come up with the story line behind When Destiny Knocks?

-I had this story in a head for a while. I wanted my main character, Karlie, to not be just another damsel in destress! I wanted her to be totally kick butt and be able to save herself, and she does (most of the time). 

I didn't want my story to be clique.

2. Are you planning to keep writing this one series or do you see others in your future as well? Are you an author for the long haul?

-I actually have already started working on a new book series! As well as working on book 2 in the Destiny Saga, I am working on a new series called Vampire Hunter Series... So yes, I am here to stay! I will write until my brain falls out ;)

3. What did you want to be when you were growing up?

-As long as I can remember I've ALWAYS wanted to be a writer. Of course I also thought I was going to be a rock star! Hey! It could happen! 

4. Who's your favorite author and\or favorite book and why?

-I have so many books that I love. My favorites are: The Fallen Star Series by Jessica Sorensen and The Significance Series by you... I seriously love your books! You are such an inspiration to me!

5. Do you have a cast in mind if your book were ever to become a movie?

I haven't thought a lot about it, but I do have a few actors in mind for some of my characters:

-Karlie would be played by Skyler Samuels

-Shane would be played by Ian Somerhalder (because nobody in the world is hotter than him!)

-Leah would be played by Megan Fox (as long as she agreed to become a red head)

-Alex would be played by Zach Roerig

6. What is something awesome that we can look forward to in book two?

There is SO MUCH I have planned for the second book that will shock everybody! There is more even more action! As Karlie gets better control over her "powers", everything else grows OUT OF CONTROL!

7. What's your absolute favorite thing about being an author?

Seeing my finished work. I love writing, and let's face it: It's HARD WORK. Writing, editing, book cover design, editing more and oh yeah... did I mention editing??? It feels AMAZING to FINALLY have all my hard work pay off. Nothing can describe how amazing it feels! :) - oh and I also love going to work in my pajamas.

8. List 5 random things about yourself.

1 - I have played the guitar since I was 12, drums since I was 13 and bass since I was 14.

2 - I used to play guitar and sing in an all-girl rock band called Mercies Kiss.

3 - I have wrote over 200 songs since I was 12.

4 - I finished my first book at the age of 14. It wasn't very good! lol.

5 - I graduated high school at the age of 16.
