So, most of you know about my recent health problems. If you don't, I wrote a big long post on it HERE.
I promised lots of you an update once I knew something. I've gotten so much support and well wishes from you guys. You'll never know how much I appreciate it. I hadn't planned on throwing it all out there to be honest, but since Wide Awake was going to be late in March because of everything going on, I felt like I needed to tell you why. And since I told you the bad stuff, I'll tell you the good stuff, too!!
I had my visit with Mayo Clinic this morning to go over all the tests they've been running on me, and they determined I will NOT have to have surgery to remove the tumor and I will NOT have to do radiation or chemo either.
Can I get an AMEN!!
I just have to have an MRI every 6 months to monitor it, make sure it's not growing, but they said they don't think it will. And, the nerve stuff with my neck and arm have improved a little with physical therapy. I have another appointment on Monday with Mayo to run more test to see if surgery will be required for that. My hand and arm are still numb and painful\tingly and they can't figure out why, but we're optimistic that we can figure this out!
So, it's not perfect, but I'll take it! I feel tons better than I did last year at this time when it all started.
So thank you to the ones who have been so awesomely supportive. I just finished Wide Spaces, the Wide Awake novella, yesterday and then Wide Open is what I'll be working on next. Then Altered, the 3rd Devour book, then...dun, dun, dun, duh....the next Significance book!
I heart you guys like crazy!
So thankful for you.
So happy to hear from you.
So grateful you care!
Still surprised every day by readers in the best way.
Mwah!
Best wishes and happy endings,
Shelly Crane
