I'm having a contest!
I want you to help me name the female lead in Wide Open, Wide Awake 2. It's Mason's brother, Milo's, book. And I need a name for the gal who's going to whip that boy into shape.
I don't have a synopsis yet, but essentially the book is going to follow Milo's journey as he comes to term with Mason and their family, realizing that he can't run forever. The girl will be his one bright spot in a sea of dark, as Mason once said to Emma.
And yes, we'll see Mason and Emma in book 2.
1
So, comment below with ONE name choice in caps so I know that's your choice, and then your name and email.
I'll choose one winner, that person will be named in the front of the book for choosing the name and I'll also send you an ARC of Wide Open when it's finished, end of this year sometime.
1
I can only take names given to me under the actual post on my blog, not on Facebook, Twitter or Goodreads where the post is shared.
1
The winner will be chosen on June 1st!
I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Hey Shelly, love your work! Naturally, I'm going to use my own name as a suggestion. :) I don't hear it much in books at all and think it's unique and strong - just like this girl's character has to be in dealing with Milo and his antics! So my suggestion is..
ReplyDeleteKRYSTAL
My name is krystal (the same) and my email is kcairns@eastern.edu. Thanks so much for the opportunity!
I love the name BRIDGIT! It's so hard to find a name that goes with Milo but I think that Milo and Bridgit has a nice ring to it lol!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Kendall
My email is kendallmccubbin@hotmail.co.uk
Thank you for the giveaway :)
I really like the name Allie! I have just always loved this name and I think it would work perfect for Wide Open!
ReplyDeleteMy name is Kasha and my email is kasha.kovacevich@gmail.com

:D
I have always liked the name...
ReplyDeleteLUX
I read that is means "light" and it just sounds like a strong name. A girl with a name like this probably had to learn to come into her own at a pretty early age (at least I think so). Anyway, since she is going to be Milo's light in a sea of dark... I think it fits.
My name is Joan and my email is jgorena@gmail.com
Thanks for the giveaway and I loved Wide Awake!!!
I personally have a very rare name and think it would be cool to see it in a book.... Sharilyn (pronounced like Marilyn).
ReplyDeleteMy name is Sharilyn (of course) and my email address is lilbitgrumpy2@aol.com.
I'm going to pick a name that I really love, ALIVIA. Beautiful in my opinion. Thanks :-) Tabitha at tabciaccia@yahoo.com
ReplyDeleteI'd go with Blue. I don't know why. I mean.. It's sort of a great name in the sense that it's beautiful and it can be a boy's name or a girl's name. You can make the girl really boy-ish or she can be very girly-sh. It gives a lot of personality and is unique, but at the same time easy to remember. + the names Blue and Milo suit well together:-) I hope you'll be able to pick out a name out of all the answers. They're all really good so far:-) Good luck!
ReplyDeletesirtsu_ (at) hotmail (dot) com

DIANA. She is the Roman equivalent of the Greek goddess Artemis. Her domain is the moon, and she is the sister of the sun. She is the brightest on the darkest night, yet still can be seen during the day. Diana is also a huntress.

AUTUMN.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE THE NAME AUTUMN, AS AUTUMN IS MY FAVOURITE TIME OF YEAR. IT SIGNIFIES THE OLD THINGS BEING REPLACED WITH THE NEW, WHICH IS ALSO A COOL LINK TO THE BOOK!
